Pattaya Beach
Pattaya Beach and the city's famous curved coastline

Pattaya is Thailand's most misunderstood destination. Yes, it has a reputation for nightlife, but scratch beneath the surface and you'll find excellent beaches, stunning temples, world-class golf courses, water sports, and island escapes. Just 2 hours from Bangkok, it offers easy beach access, diverse attractions, and a unique blend of Thai culture and international tourism.

KEY FACT: Pattaya was a quiet fishing village until 1961 when US servicemen came for R&R during the Vietnam War. Today it welcomes 15 million visitors annually and has diversified into family tourism, golf, and water sports alongside its famous nightlife.
